This
is a truly unforgettable and very exclusive airtour
from Brisbane to Uluru (Ayers Rock). Operating turbo-prop
aircraft, we provide a scenic trip taking in historic
Queensland towns to ensure our passengers taste the
true outback on their journey to Uluru, in the heart
of Australia. Suitable for minimum group size of
8 passengers.
Sample Itinerary:
DAY ONE - Brisbane to Uluru via Birdsville
Departing Brisbane early in the morning, we fly over
the Great Dividing Range, west to Charleville for a
morning break before heading further west to Birdsville,
between the Simpson Desert and the Stony Desert is the
starting point of the famous Birdsville Track, which
stretches to the south with the Simpson Desert to the
west.
After lunch we depart for Birdsville and onto Uluru
- the centre of Australia. We will land as the sun is
setting on the rock - an awe inspiring view from the
air and on the ground. Overnight at Ayers Rock Resort
or Safari Style camp 'under the stars'.
DAY
TWO - Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Located 460 kilometres from Alice Springs, Uluru (Ayers
Rock) rises 350 metres from the desert and over nine
kilometres in diameter. At sunset the rock puts on a
spectacular light show that changes its colours from
red to orange to lilac in just a few minutes. Uluru's
important Aboriginal history means that the National
Park is one of only two places in the world recognised
as a World Heritage site because of its living cultural
significance.
